Huntsville, TX — May 18, 2023, Randal Chambless sustained injuries as the result of a car accident due to a car accident at 6:32 p.m. on Sam Houston Avenue.
Authorities said that the two-vehicle accident happened at the intersection of Sam Houston Avenue and Sycamore Avenue.
It appears from statements that 67-year-old Randal Chambless was in a Nissan Versa traveling northbound along the roadway and crossing through the intersection. While doing so, authorities say that an oncoming vehicle failed to yield while making a left turn. As a result, the two vehicles collided.
As a result of the collision, Chambless had injuries said to be incapacitating. It’s unclear if anyone else was injured in the crash. Authorities at this time allege that the driver of the southbound vehicle had been drinking, and they mentioned the possibility of charges including Failure to Yield, Failure to Display License, and Open Container. Details at this time cannot be confirmed pending further investigations.
