Chillicothe, OH — February 14, 2024, Randal Benner was killed due to a semi-truck accident that happened around 7:00 p.m. along Route 23.
According to initial details released about the accident, it happened in the area of Route 23 and Route 35 on the north end of town.
Authorities said that 54-year-old Randal R. Benner was the driver of an SUV which was going along Route 23 at the time. It appears a tractor-trailer was merging lanes when, according to officials, the truck driver “failed to see” Benner, crashing into the SUV. This ended with the truck going over the top of SUV.
Emergency services made rescue attempts, and they transported Benner to a hospital. Benner’s injuries ultimately proved fatal. There were no other reported injuries. Right now, it’s unclear if authorities are considering charges or citations.
