San Antonio, TX — May 15, 2024, Ramon Gonzales was killed in a pedestrian hit-and-run accident around 9:24 p.m. along Culebra Road.
Investigators said that the incident happened in the area of the Culebra Road and NW 18th Street intersection.
According to officials, 45-year-old Ramon Gonzales was on foot at the time. While in the area of westbound lanes of Culebra, at least two vehicles struck Ramon Gonzales. The vehicles then left the scene.
Due to the accident, Ramon Gonzales was fatally injured. It’s unclear if authorities ever located the runaway drivers.

I’d hope to hear progress was made outside of the public eye to locate the drivers involved here. Usually, that happens when people in the community work with authorities and come forward with something that may be useful. If that never happened here, it wouldn’t hurt for authorities to put out more information to the public in the hopes someone can connect dots they couldn’t.
