Bryan, TX — May 11, 2023, one person was killed following a car accident late Thursday along State Highway 6.
According to investigators, the fatal accident occurred along the southbound lanes of the North Earl Rudder Freeway off Briarcrest Drive. Authorities indicate that Nickerson was driving a Chevy Suburban south in the inside lane when a nearby Tesla vehicle attempted an unsafe lane change toward her. Nickerson swerved into the median to avoid a collision, but lost control. The Chevy veered back through the travel lanes, spun, and struck an overpass pillar at Briarcrest Drive.
Quintavia Nickerson was critically injured in the accident. He was taken to an area hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. No other injuries were reported.
