UPDATE (July 6, 2023): Authorities identified the man killed in the work accident as 45-year-old Qingxiang Sun. Right now, additional details surrounding the accident are still under investigation.
San Antonio, TX — June 28, 2023, a man was killed as the result of a work accident at around 9:50 a.m. along East Nakoma Street.
Authorities said that the fatal incident took place while the man was working with marble sheets loaded on a truck. It appears that the victim, an unidentified 45-year-old man, was working to unload the slabs. Somehow, it appears one or more of the slabs “loosened,” then fell onto him.
As a result of the slab falling on the man, he sustained fatal injuries. No one else was reported as injured. Officials claim that the victim’s employer was Unison Transport LLC, and there is currently an OSHA investigation into the fatal accident ongoing. No further information is available at this time.
