Hays County, TX — February 19, 2024, Placido Flores Sanchez was injured in a truck accident just after 6:00 a.m. along Farm to Market 110.
According to authorities, Placido Flores Sanchez was traveling in a northbound Ford Explorer SUV on Farm to Market 110 approaching the Yarrington Road intersection when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that the Explorer, noting the 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow behind it traveling eastbound at the intersection ahead, slammed on the breaks in an attempt to stop for the stop sign. The Explorer reportedly skidded for approximately fifty feet, but was still unable to avoid a collision with the back right side of the 18-wheeler’s trailer.
Sanchez incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident. He was transported to a local medical center by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
