Angelina County, TX — March 1, 2024, Peter Edwin Bouton was killed while Jabier Luna and Rogelio Herrera were injured in a car accident on F.M. 1788.
According to authorities, 32-year-old Peter Edwin Bouton was traveling in a southbound Toyota Corolla on Farm to Market 78 when the accident took place.
The causal factors that led to the crash are still unclear. Officials indicate that, for unknown reasons, the Corolla failed to safely maintain its lane of travel. It reportedly veered left, crossing the center line and entering the northbound lane of the roadway. This resulted in a collision between the Corolla and an oncoming Dodge Ram 2500 occupied by 54-year-old Jabier Luna and 22-year-old Rogelio Herrera.
Boutin suffered reportedly fatal injuries as a result of the wreck and was declared deceased at the scene. Both Luna and Herrera incurred suspected severe injuries and were transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
