Conroe, TX — June 28, 2024, Peggy Walton and one other person were injured in a car accident shortly before 9:45 a.m. along South Loop 336.
According to authorities, 63-year-old Peggy Walton was traveling in a westbound Hyundai Elantra on South Loop 336 at the Holcomb Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Toyota Corolla occupied by a 23-year-old man attempted a left turn to head north on Holcomb at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming traffic when making a left turn with a flashing yellow arrow. This resulted in a collision between the Toyota and the Hyundai.
Both of the people involved suffered reportedly serious injuries due to the wreck; they were each transported to local medical facilities by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
