Authorities say that on July 11, an accident occurred on I-485 and Park Road in Charlotte when a pedestrian walked into the path of an oncoming dump truck. According to reports, the dump truck was proceeding east on the Interstate when the accident happened.
Sources say the pedestrian, whose name has not been released, left his vehicle on the side of the highway before he stepped out into oncoming traffic. Moments later, the pedestrian was struck and killed. Authorities are attempting to identify the deceased man.
