Austin, TX — June 17, 2023, a pedestrian was killed when a semi-truck and a passenger vehicle struck them around 12:26 a.m. on southbound I-35 in Austin.
Sources report the victim was attempting to cross the southbound I-35 lanes near mile marker 243 when he was struck by a Peterbilt that was hauling two trailers. After the initial incident, a Kia Forte also reportedly collided with the then-fallen pedestrian.
The pedestrian was fatally injured. Officials may be withholding the victim’s name until the next of kin is notified.
Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
