Kansas City, MO — July 8, 2023, a pedestrian was killed in a semi-truck accident on southbound I-435 in Kansas City, MO.

Authorities say that on July 8, an accident occurred when a southbound semi-truck struck a pedestrian on Interstate 435. A preliminary investigation suggests the pedestrian was on the side of the interstate and, while attempting to cross the highway, got hit by an oncoming semi. The accident happened at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The pedestrian, whose name has not been released, sustained fatal injuries in the accident. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
