New Orleans, LA — March 4, 2023, a pedestrian was killed in a transit bus accident around 10:18 p.m. on Canal St. in New Orleans.
Authorities report a New Orleans RTA bus was pulling away from the Canal Street and Elk Place stop when the rear of the bus collided with a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
