Farmers Branch, TX — May 10, 2024, a woman was injured in a pedestrian versus hit-and-run car accident shortly after 9:15 p.m. along Valley View Lane.

According to authorities, a 67-year-old woman was on foot attempting to cross Valley View Lane in the vicinity of Interstate Highway 35 when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the woman was struck by an SUV, causing her to be thrown approximately fifty feet before coming to rest. Video surveillance in the area which captured the incident has been released by authorities. It shows the woman being struck by the dark colored SUV and the SUV fleeing the scene, the person(s) inside failing to stop and render aid of any sort to the victim.

The woman suffered critical injuries as a result of the accident; she was transported to a local medical facility by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. She has reportedly undergone one surgery since the collision; reports state that her conditions is stable but remains critical.
