Pharr, TX — April 26, 2024, a young boy was killed following a bicycle versus car accident that took place along East Eller Street.
According to authorities, the young boy was traveling on a bicycle on East Eller Street in the block between N. Fir Street and N. Huisache Avenue.
The cause of the accident is still unclear. Preliminary reports stated that the boy on his bicycle was hit by a pickup truck that had been reversing from a driveway; however, recent reports clarify that the vehicle was apparently driving forward, rather than in reverse.
The boy was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment; however, he was ultimately unable to overcome his injuries, having there been declared deceased. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
