Longview, TX — December 3, 2023, a pedestrian was injured following a car accident at around 3:50 a.m. along South Eastman Road.
According to current information released by authorities, the incident took place in the area of the South Eastman Road and Estes Parkway intersection.
Officials said that a 22-year-old Longview man was on foot in the area and attempted to walk across northbound lanes of Eastman Road. While doing so, it appears a vehicle struck the man, then continued driving and left the scene. The pedestrian was taken from the scene with injuries said to be serious. At this time, there is no available description for the suspect driver.

In these situations, it usually turns out the runaway driver had something specific to hide from authorities. Were they drunk? In a stolen vehicle? Did they have warrants? It’s important those people are brought to answer for their mistakes, especially when people get hurt. Hopefully authorities have been working with locals who may yet come forward with important information that can lead to the runaway driver’s identity.
