Lewisville, TX — November 28, 2024, one person was injured following a pedestrian versus car accident at around 6:00 p.m. along East Corporate Drive.
Authorities said in preliminary statements that the accident took place just east of the intersection of Corporate Drive and TX-121.
It appears that a 48-year-old man was on foot at the time in the area of 191 Corporate Drive. For reasons unclear, a vehicle traveling along the roadway struck the man. Due to this, the pedestrian sustained serious injuries.
There were no other reported injuries. Right now, factors surrounding the accident remain unclear.

With pedestrian accidents, investigations generally seek to determine whether or not the incident was reasonably avoidable. As important as it is to determine who had the right-of-way, there could be more to the story. For example, was the driver going too fast? Were they on their phone? Is signage in this area insufficient? Did alcohol contribute to the accident? These are the kinds of questions investigators should be able to answer. Maybe authorities went on to provide these answers. In my experience, though, it’s not uncommon for a crash like this to need more thorough independent investigations.
