Additional details can’t be confirmed right now, but authorities mentioned the possibility the driver had been drinking. If alcohol was a factor here, where did it come from?

Obviously, providing alcohol to someone unlawfully is a problem. However, there’s a greater concern if the one who unlawfully provided the alcohol was a local establishment. In my experience handling hundreds of cases against negligent alcohol providers, if an establishment is serving alcohol to someone under 21, they’re often breaking all kinds of rules. That’s not something I’d expect any community to find acceptable, which is why investigators need to be sure they’re getting the whole story.
