Dallas, TX — May 12, 2024, one person was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 2:45 a.m. along the Lyndon B Johnson Freeway.

According to authorities, a man was traveling in an eastbound 18-wheeler on the LBJ Freeway in the vicinity of Miller Road when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the 18-wheeler collided with a retaining wall. The driver of the 18-wheeler exited the vehicle after bringing it to a stop. However, it was at that point that he was struck by a motor vehicle.

The man suffered reportedly critical injuries as a result of the accident; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. However, he was unable to overcome is injuries, having been declared deceased before arriving at the facility.
