Pharr, TX — February 23, 2023, one person was killed due to an accident where a vehicle struck them along South Jackson Road.
Investigators said that the incident happened in the area of South Jackson and Ridge Roads. Few specific details were released, but authorities believe the victim was in the roadway for unknown reasons when they were fatally struck by a Chevrolet Silverado pickup.
The Chevy driver allegedly left the scene but has since been identified, arrested, and charged for accident involving personal injury or death. Another driver may have been involved and left the scene as well. The investigation continues.

Authorities seem to be taking steps to see one person answers for what happened here. Hopefully they’re also taking steps to find out why they left the scene, since that could involve additional factors that need to be addressed. As to the other driver, keeping these reports in the public eye could be a crucial step toward someone connecting the dots so that driver, too, can face appropriate consequences.
