Midland, TX — September 4, 2023, Pablo Zapata was injured as the result of an alleged drunk driver accident at around 9:58 p.m. along Andrews Highway.
Preliminary details released by the authorities indicated that the incident happened in the area of the Andrews Highway and Texas Avenue intersection.
According to officials, 25-year-old Pablo Zapata was on a Yamaha motorcycle reportedly going southbound along the highway. As Zapata crossed Texas Avenue, authorities say that a northbound driver made a left turn, allegedly failing to yield and crashing into Zapata and throwing him from the bike.
Zapata sustained incapacitating injuries due to the wreck, authorities said. The other driver did not have any confirmed injuries. Authorities claim that driver had been drinking and recommended charges for intoxication assault. No further information about the accident is available at this time.
