Val Verde, TX — August 5, 2024, Oscar Rodarte was injured following a motorcycle versus car accident at approximately 9:45 a.m. along U.S. Highway 90.
According to authorities, 64-year-old Oscar Rodarte was traveling on a westbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on U.S. Highway 90 at the Charles Drive intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Ford F-150 pickup truck on the highway attempted a left turn to head north on Charles Drive at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to westbound traffic. This resulted in a collision between the right side of the pickup truck and the front-left side of the motorcycle.
Rodarte suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive immediate treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
