Georges Township, PA — February 24, 2023, David Savage was killed in a single-vehicle truck accident around 11 a.m. on Route 43 in Fayette County.
Authorities say the incident happened around 12:30 p.m. on Route 43 near Exit 8 toward Big Six Road. The investigation continues, but police say David Savage may have “failed to exit safely” on a ramp and entered the grass of the road’s gore area. It may have struck a low guardrail, causing it to overturn and slide some distance. It reportedly struck several objects before coming to rest.
David Savage, 63, was pronounced dead at the scene.
