Authorities say that on May 22, a collision occurred between a semi-truck and a southbound vehicle on Route 47. According to reports, the vehicle drove over the center lane line for unknown reasons into traffic coming in the opposite direction. An oncoming semi-truck struck the vehicle, killing the vehicle’s driver.
Investigators have not determined what caused the wreck, but report the vehicle driver, whose name has not been released, suffered severe injuries and died in the collision. No other injuries were reported.
