How Did This Accident Occur?
It is not clear at this time how this collision happened. Did the e-bike veer into the path of the dump truck? Did the dump truck leave its lane before hitting the e-bike? Was the truck driver distracted? Did the dump truck have an issue with its steering mechanism? These are the kind of questions that authorities must consider as they work to reconstruct this accident.
Investigators likely will start by gathering physical evidence, witness statements, data from the truck and any available video footage. Cell phone records could show what both people were doing at the time.
If authorities suspect a mechanical problem contributed to this crash, a qualified expert should examine the vehicles in a laboratory setting because the e-bike rider’s family deserves to know as much as possible about this accident.
