How Did This Accident Occur?
Was the van speeding? Did the Ford fail to yield while making its turn? Did a mechanical issue contribute to this crash? These are the type of questions that authorities must consider as they investigate this crash.
Investigators likely will start their probe by reviewing physical evidence, witness statements, data from the vehicles and any available video footage of the crash. Cell phone records could help determine what each driver was doing at the time.
A qualified expert should examine the vehicles in a laboratory setting if authorities suspect a mechanical problem played a role in this crash, since most police departments don’t have the time or training for such inspections, in my experience.
A thorough investigation should provide answers to any lingering questions the Ford driver’s family has about this accident.
