How Did This Accident Occur?

Given what I do for a living, I’ve been involved in thousands of vehicle accident investigations. The common denominator is that we don’t really know what happened until the investigation is done. That is especially true with motorcycle accidents, since they are so different than other vehicles.

The crash dynamics are different with motorcycles, so it would be helpful if authorities have someone who has experiences with such crashes handle the investigation. Motorcycle crashes require detailed reconstruction, based on speed, throttle input, braking activity and any steering corrections made before the motorcycle began to tip.
