McHenry County, IL — June 2, 2023, one person was injured in a collision with a semi-truck around 7:18 a.m. on Route 176 near Marengo in McHenry County.
According to officials, the victim was heading westbound in her Chevrolet Trax when her car allegedly collided head-on with an eastbound Freightliner. The Trax driver was reportedly fired from her vehicle by the responding firefighters, and sources report she was air-lifted to Advocate Condell Medical Center in reportedly critical condition.
The semi-truck driver purportedly suffered minor injuries and was treated at the crash scene.
Investigators have not released what factors led up to the accident.
