Edinburg, TX — February 24, 2023, one person was injured in a motor vehicle accident around 7:13 p.m. on E. University Rd. in Edinburg.
Sources report the victim was facing east in a Cadillac Escalade attempting a left turn when a westbound Chevy Silverado, on E. University Rd. allegedly attempted to pass an uninvolved vehicle by driving on the right shoulder and struck the passenger side of the Escalade.
The Escalade driver reportedly suffered incapacitating injuries and was transported to a medical center. No other injuries were reported.
Authorities have not released what factors led up to the severity of the victim’s injuries.
