How Did This Accident Occur?

Whenever there is a one-pickup crash at this time of the night, everyone likely assumes the truck ran off the road because the driver was tired. That may well be the case, but what if the pickup had some sort of malfunction in its lane departure warning system? Or a manufacturer’s defect caused one of its tires to blow out? Or a near-collision with another vehicle caused it to crash into the guardrail?

These scenarios may prove to not be a factor in this crash, but they at least warrant a look so the people who were hurt and their families will know what happened. Investigators can examine evidence from the scene, data from the pickup’s engine control module and any available witness statements to provide answers.
