How Did This Accident Occur?

Initial reports do not indicate which of these vehicles left its lane to cause this crash, so that likely will be one of the first things investigators try to figure out as they work to reconstruct this accident. But they also need to figure out why.

Was one of the drivers distracted, perhaps by a cell phone? Did another vehicle force one of the vehicles involved in the crash out of its lane? Did the Mercedes or the Isuzu have a problem with its steering mechanism?

The only way to answer these questions is to complete a full investigation of this crash, based on witness statements, evidence from the scene, data from the vehicles, cell phone records and any available video footage. Police likely can handle this much of the investigation, but an independent expert may be needed if investigators suspect a mechanical issue may have contributed to this crash.

These efforts are necessary to provide answers about this crash for the injured passenger and his family.
