Dallas, TX — May 25, 2023, an officer was injured following an alleged drunk driver accident overnight along North Hall Street.
Authorities with the Dallas Police Department said that the incident took place in the overnight hours of Wednesday night to Thursday morning off the corner of the North Hall Street and Main Street intersection.
According to investigators, a Dallas Police officer was in the Deep Ellum area when another vehicle somehow crashed into their patrol car. As a result of that collision, it appears the DPD officer sustained injuries of unspecified severity. It’s unclear if anyone else was hurt.
Current reports allege that the driver that hit the officer’s vehicle showed signs of intoxication. That driver was apparently arrested for driving while intoxicated. No further information about the crash or potential charges is available at this time.
