San Juan, TX — March 3, 2023, Ofelia Alonzo was injured due to an 18-wheeler accident which occurred along Hall Acres Road.
Initial details about the accident say it occurred just before 10:00 a.m. along Stewart Road/FM 2557 at the intersection of Hall Acres Road.
It appears that 44-year-old Ofelia Alonzo was in an Audi car traveling westbound along Hall Acres. At Stewart, it appears a northbound 18-wheeler crashed into the Audi on Stewart Road.
Due to the collision, Alonzo sustained incapacitating injuries. A passenger in Alonzo’s vehicle may have been injured, as well. Right now, additional details remain unconfirmed.

I can’t help wondering if all the facts were considered here. While I don’t have specific reason to doubt the information I’m seeing, I haven’t seen many in the public talk about what seems to be a pretty serious wreck. Maybe that’s because authorities weren’t keen to share their findings, or maybe local media outlets just didn’t care all that much. But this can sometimes be a sign that the crash only had preliminary investigations, and that can lead to important information slipping through the cracks. Could it be that there’s more to this story?
