Reeves County, TX — July 3, 2024, Norma Villarreal was injured following a car accident at approximately 1:00 p.m. along Johnson Street.
According to authorities, 58-year-old Norma Villarreal was traveling in a northbound Kia on South Johnson Street at the Adams Street intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, an eastbound Dodge Ram pickup truck on Adams failed to yield the right of way at a stop sign, entering the intersection at an apparently unsafe time. This resulted in a collision between the front-end of the pickup truck and the left side of the Kia.
Villarreal suffered reportedly serious injuries as a result of the wreck; she was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
