As straight-forward as these details may seem, any accident involving a government vehicle is bound to involve unique hurdles for the victims and families. Simply put, there are various rules and hoops to jump through when it comes to holding a government entity accountable after an accident. This varies from state to state, and it can include rules as serious as requiring written notice of one’s claim within mere weeks of the accident. That’s why prompt action is often crucial after crashes like this, and it wouldn’t be shocking in the least if that were true here, as well.
