Carroll County, VA — August 8, 2024, Nelson Diaz Dieguez was injured following a single-vehicle truck accident just after 4:00 p.m. along I.H. 77.
According to authorities, 36-year-old Nelson Dieguez was traveling in a northbound Volvo 18-wheeler with a trailer in tow on Interstate Highway 77 in the vicinity of U.S. 58 when the accident took place.
The cause of the accident remains unclear. Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, the truck failed to safely maintain its lane of travel.
