Burnet County, TX — December 30, 2023, Nathanael Severance and one other person were injured in a rollover car accident at about 3:30 a.m. along C.R. 404.
According to reports, 19-year-old Nathanael Severance and another 19-year-old boy were traveling in a northbound Dodge Ram 1500 on County Road 404 approaching the C.R. 407 intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that the pickup truck may have been traveling at unsafe speeds leading up to the accident. For as yet unconfirmed reasons, the pickup truck failed to safely navigate a left turn in the road, veering off of the north side of the roadway and colliding with a fence and a tree. The collision caused the pickup to overturn, rolling back toward the road way where it was struck by a westbound Toyota 4Runner SUV.
Severance incurred suspected severe injuries as a result of the accident, while the other occupant of the pickup truck sustained reportedly moderate injuries. They were both transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment.
