UPDATE (April 22, 2024): The woman who lost her life as a result of this accident has been identified as 43-year-old Nadia Samantha Wvalle, of Dallas, Texas.
Dallas, TX — April 18, 2024, a woman was killed following a pedestrian versus car accident at approximately 1:00 a.m. along the Lindon B Johnson Freeway.
According to authorities, a woman was traveling in an eastbound vehicle in the right-most lane of the Lindon B Johnson Freeway, I.H. 635, in the vicinity of Skillman Street when the accident occurred.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, rather than follow the correct traffic pattern, the vehicle maneuvered between two construction barriers and collided with a plastic barrier. Following that, the vehicle reportedly returned to the active lanes of the freeway before coming to a stop in the lane which was the second from the right. The woman allegedly exited her car and, as she was standing in the open doorway, was struck by an eastbound van. She incurred reportedly fatal injuries as a result and was declared deceased at the scene.
