South Whitehall Township, PA — April 3, 2023, multiple people were injured in a truck accident around 6:58 a.m. on Route 22 in South Whitehall Township.
Officials report a box truck a semi-truck and two passenger cars collided while headed eastbound. The collision reportedly sent the box truck through the concrete median, toward the north side, into westbound traffic, and the semi-truck left the road toward the south side and collided with a metal guard rail. Photos of the crash show at least two passenger vehicles were also involved in the accident.
Emergency response crews had to reportedly travel west along the eastbound road in order to reach the collision and several people were removed from entrapment.
Officials have not released how the crash occurred, how many people were injured, nor the severity of their injuries.
