Corpus Christi, TX — April 27, 2024, five people were injured following a multi-car accident at approximately 2:00 a.m. along Ayers Street.
According to authorities, an 18-year-old man was traveling in a vehicle at the Ayers Street and Baldwin Boulevard intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for reasons yet to be confirmed, the vehicle disregarded the red light indicated by the traffic signal and entered the intersection at an unsafe time. This resulted in a collision with a westbound police vehicle.
The 18-year-old and a police officer both suffered apparently severe injuries due to the wreck. At least three other individuals were hurt, as well, though the severity of their injuries are unknown, according to reports. All injured parties were taken to local medical facilities in order to receive necessary treatment.
