Las Vegas, NV — April 19, 2023, one person was killed following a motorcycle versus delivery truck accident just after 7:00 a.m. on Bermuda Road
Authorities said that the incident happened at around 7:00 a.m. along Bermuda Road at the East Cactus Avenue intersection.
It appears from initial details that a motorcyclist was going northbound along Bermuda. At the intersection, a southbound delivery truck attempted to make a left turn, and the motorcycle crashed into the truck.
As a result of the collision, the motorcycle rider succumbed to fatal injuries. No one else was said to be hurt.

Police said there was video of the crash, but they do not say who had the right-of-way nor if charges are pending.
That’s a pretty big detail to leave out of the stories. Perhaps authorities are withholding certain details, or maybe the video didn’t have a good view of the lights and only caught the crash itself on video. My hope is simply that the crash is getting proper attention. I see too often how folks will jump to conclusions when it comes to motorcyclists. They can make mistakes, of course, but assuming so without evidence is just irresponsible. The victim’s loved ones deserve to know they’re getting the full story, and that means they’d need to hear a lot more than what little is in the news right now.
