Bay County, FL — July 5, 2023, one person was injured due to a semi-truck versus motorcycle accident early Wednesday along Jolee Road.
In initial statements from authorities, the incident took place in the area of Jolee Road and U.S. Highway 231. It appears that a 70-year-old Orlando man was on a motorcycle that was stopped on Jolee Road.
Ahead of the motorcycle was a semi-truck. For reasons unclear, the semi-truck began to back up while the motorcyclist was behind it. The truck continued and backed up over the motorcyclist. As a result of this, the Orlando man sustained injuries which were described as serious. Right now, there is no indication that anyone else was hurt. Authorities have not yet released additional details about the accident.
