Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman
After any motorcycle wreck, my concern is just how much attention authorities gave to the actual evidence surrounding the crash. To be frank, a lot of people are biased against motorcyclists. This can lead people to jump to conclusions rather than actually allow the facts to speak for themselves. Even authorities can fall into this trap, letting their gut take over rather than conducting careful investigations. It’s possible proper steps were taken here to keep all the facts straight, but it wouldn’t be the first time that a motorcycle wreck needed another set of eyes making sure nothing important slipped through the cracks.
