Wilbarger County, TX — March 20, 2023, Mitchell Raines was killed in a hit-and-run accident at around 6:00 a.m. which took place along U.S. 287.
Initial details say that 76-year-old Mitchell Raines was on foot at the time, but specifics about what Raines was doing at the time aren’t available. Somehow, a vehicle hit Raines in the travel laves of the highway, which he reportedly lived close to. That vehicle then left the scene.

Most of the time, hit-and-runs reach conclusion because someone sees something in the news and connects the dots to something or someone that can help authorities.
