Brownsville, TX — December 16, 2022, Mireya Izaguirre De Vega was injured in a car accident around 12:14 a.m. on Old Port Isabel Rd. in Brownsville.
According to authorities, Ms. De Vega was northbound in a Ford F-150 in a center lane when a northbound Dodge Ram 1500 merged from the right-hand turn-only lane into the victim’s lane. Ms. De Vega reportedly suffered serious injuries. The driver of the Ram 1500 was purportedly uninjured.
Officials report the driver’s side of the Ram 1500 struck the passenger side of the victim’s F-150 and that the speed limit for Old Port Isabel Rd. is 30 mph. Hopefully, someone is looking into the reason Ms. De Vega’s sustained injuries were serious.
