The teen driver was allegedly under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. If that’s true, where did the alcohol come from? There are many ways someone underage can get their hands on alcohol, but a particularly concerning possibility is a local alcohol provider sold it to them. I’ve handled many cases against negligent alcohol providers for over-serving drivers who cause accidents. In my experience, the establishments willing to break one rule are likely breaking others. Not only that, but also the alcohol providers who break rules usually continue to do so until they finally face consequences for their actions. So if there’s an alcohol provider like that involved here, they need to be brought to light and held accountable one way or another. Have authorities taken any steps in that direction?
