Commentary by Attorney Michael Grossman

While the details here are far from painting a complete picture, I always find it important to remind people not to jump to conclusions without knowing all the facts. Motorcyclists unfortunately get a bad rap, and it can lead to people blaming them for situations that weren’t their fault. I certainly can’t say if this is one of those situations, but I have about as much reason to believe this rider did something wrong as I would a driver in any other vehicle—which is to say no reason at all. That’s why it’s best to give folks the benefit of the doubt and to let the evidence speak for itself. Hopefully authorities have been working behind the scenes to get that evidence.
