Wharton County, TX — April 14, 2024, Miguel Llanes was injured in a motorcycle versus car accident shortly after 9:00 a.m. along Farm to Market 1161.
According to authorities, 58-year-old Miguel Llanes was traveling on a southbound Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Business U.S. 59 at the F.M. 1161 intersection when the accident took place.

Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a westbound Chevrolet pickup truck on F.M. 1161 entered the intersection at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to highway traffic at a stop sign. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the front-end of the motorcycle and the front-right side of the pickup.
Llanes reportedly sustained severe injuries as a result of the wreck; he was transported to a local medical facility by EMS in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported. Additional details pertaining to this incident are not available at this point in time. The investigation is currently ongoing.
