Bastrop County, TX — August 17, 2024, Miguel Araiza Morales was injured following a car accident at around 12:43 a.m. along F.M. 812.
According to initial details about the accident say that it happened in the area of Maldonado Trail, west of Wyldwood.
Investigators said that 26-year-old Miguel Araiza Morales was in a Ford F-150 going eastbound along F.M. 812. It appears a westbound vehicle entered the eastbound lane, and Araiza Morales lost control trying to avoid it. In doing so, the Ford crashed into a parked vehicle. The eastbound vehicle did not remain at the scene.

If it’s true another vehicle caused this crash and took off, one hopes authorities are working hard to find that driver. Typically, that involves releasing as much information to the public as possible. Often, someone is able to connect the dots and come forward with helpful information. But if authorities feel they had other priorities to work on, they may have already moved on without really giving the accident the attention it deserved. Unfortunately, I work with families all the time where that happens, so it wouldn’t be all that unusual.
