Rusk County, WI — June 12, 2023, Michael Swada was killed and Karen Swada was injured in a truck accident around 9 a.m. on Highway 40 in Rusk County.

Sources report the victim’s pickup truck and a road grader were traveling in the same direction when the pickup truck allegedly rear-ended the grader. Mr. Swada suffered fatal injuries, while Ms. Swada was reportedly airlifted to a hospital with injuries. However, the extent of her injuries was not released.

Authorities have not released the cause of the crash at this time.
