Denton County, TX — April 13, 2024, Michael Sobanek and one other person were injured in a car accident at approximately 7:30 p.m. along Farm to Market 720.
According to authorities, 35-year-old Michael Sobanek and a 37-year-old woman were traveling in a southbound Toyota Tacoma pickup truck on F.M. 720 approaching the Martop Road intersection when the accident took place.
Officials indicate that, for as yet unknown reasons, a northbound Honda Odyssey minivan on F.M. 720 attempted a left turn onto westbound Martop Road at an apparently unsafe time, failing to yield the right of way to oncoming southbound traffic. This resulted in a T-bone collision between the front-end of the pickup truck and the right side of the minivan.
Both Sobanek and the woman who was with him in the pickup truck suffered reportedly severe injuries as a result of the wreck. They were each transported to local medical facilities by emergency medical services in order to receive necessary treatment. No other injuries have been reported.
